Route 66 Ride for Freedom is a cross-country cycling campaign designed to raise awareness, mobilize communities, and generate financial support for the fight against human trafficking.

The ride will follow the historic Route 66 corridor from Chicago to Santa Monica, connecting with churches, businesses, community leaders, and everyday Americans along the way. Through storytelling, survivor advocacy, media engagement, and grassroots fundraising, the project seeks to shine a light on the realities of trafficking, while highlighting the organizations working to combat it.

Rescue America is uniquely positioned to serve as teh primary beneficiary and strateguc partner for this initiative, due to its national leadership in victim identification, rescue operations, and survivor placement.

Human trafficking remains one of the fastest-growing criminal enterprises in the world. Many Americans are unaware that it exists in their own communities. Even fewer understand the complex process required to identify victims, coordinate rescues, and connect survivors with long-term restoration services. Awareness alone is not enough. Organizations on the front lines need sustainable funding, broader public engagement, and stronger community partnerships.

The Vision

The ride serves as both a physical journey and a storytelling platform that invites Americans to become part of the solution. Andi will bike the full length of historic Route 66, stopping in communities across eight states to:

Share information about human trafficking awareness and prevention

Highlight the work of Rescue America

Connect local churches and organizations to anti-trafficking efforts

Engage local media outlets

Encourage fundraising and sponsorship participation

Create compelling content that can be shared nationally throughout the campaign

Why Rescue America

Rescue America serves as a critical gateway in the anti-trafficking ecosystem. Their work in identifying victims, conducting outreach, coordinating rescues, funding safe houses, and connecting survivors with appropriate aftercare resources makes them a natural partner for a national awareness and funding initiative. We want to amplify Rescue America’s mission, increase visibility, expand sponsor and donor engagement, and create opportunities to introduce new communities to their work.
